Ever see a photo and wonder how the photographer acheived the effect? This section of my site is dedicated to discussing how to achieve those techniques:
Choose the topic you're interested in learning about below:
- Panned Shots -You see these on the covers of car magazines a lot. These shots keep the subject sharp while the background is blurred to show motion. This works well for bicycling and other sports as well.
- The Ghostly Effect of Slow Shutter Speeds -By using a slow shutter speed and having a subject in the frame for only part of the exposure, you can create a "ghostly" effect. It's quite neat, and easy to master. Give it a try!
- Light Painting -another trick you can do with slow shutter speeds!
- Creating Silky Waterfalls -How to achieve that silky, milky, veiling waterfall effect. (It's beautiful and easy!)
